Jim Drimmer is a Co-Founder and Principal with Litivate Reporting + Trial Services. Jim serves as the company’s General Counsel and oversees operations company-wide.
Prior to founding Litivate, Jim was a litigation and trial attorney with one of San Diego’s premier litigation law firms, Thorsnes Bartolotta & McGuire. While there, Jim practiced with the Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, and Business Litigation teams. Jim first and second chaired multiple jury trials and arbitrations to verdict and negotiated numerous successful settlements, resulting in the recovery of over $100M for his clients over the course of his career.
On the defense side of the bench, Jim has represented all types of clients from individuals to Fortune 100 organizations. In a signature matter, Jim was part of a three-attorney litigation team that achieved a complete defense in a case with over $2B in exposure.
Throughout his career, Jim often served as a liaison with legal vendors preparing for trial and handling trial logistics. It is this experience, the attorney perspective, that Jim drew from when founding Litivate. Jim understands what trial lawyers need from their vendors to successfully prepare for and conduct a trial. Thus, Litivate is the elite organization, loaded with industry insiders who each have years of experience, created to serve the company’s clients at a level not previously seen in the marketplace.
Jim attended the University of California at San Diego, graduating in 1992. He went on to law school at the University of San Diego, during which time he clerked for the Honorable Richard Huffman. He was admitted to the bar in 1998 and has been admitted to practice in multiple federal districts.
Jim speaks regularly at continuing legal education events on the topic of litigation and trial practice.
Away from Litivate, Jim enjoys golf, tennis, ping pong, and playing with his French Bulldog, Brisket.
